hello it's Ruby and today I'm going to finally be sharing with you a university morning routine this video has been so highly requested and I'm sorry I'm only just getting around to filming it so I have actually not been sleeping very well recently so I'm waking up a little later than usual instead of 6 which is the ideal time I'd like to wake up I usually end up waking up at 7:00 7:30 since I have an 8:30 this morning I am waking up at 7 and the first thing I will go and do is put on my bed jacket I just love how old-fashioned it is and my slippers are from Bowden I've had these for about four or five years now then I will put on some classical music on Spotify and I will make my bed I really love to make my bed first thing in the morning because it just starts my day off in a really good foot then I would do 40 sit-ups this is just a good way for me to get my body moving in the morning I personally find it's a really good way to start my day and then I will pick up my hot water for tools and go and fill them up because I get very very cold and it is freezing in England at the moment so this is an essential part of my morning and at the same time whilst I'm waiting for the kettle to boil I will wash my hands and then get started but doing some washing up I usually leave some of my washing up from the night before from dinner then I will just fill up a mason jar with cold water and I will drink a whole glass of this and I will also fill up another glass to bring to my bedroom and Here I am filling up my gorgeous head with hot water I honestly love this hot water bottle so much when I'm back in my room I will choose what I'm going to wear today and since it was really cold I decided I was actually gonna wear a thermal vest underneath my jumper today it was it was thermals weather then I will head to the bathroom to brush my teeth because of course you always have to brush your teeth in the morning and I also read at the same time as doing this but I didn't film any clips of that so the next thing I like to do is use this drops of youth body shop facial exfoliator I've been using this for two three years it's one of only two products that I've faced products that I use and I would really recommend it and I will also have a cold shower because I think it's a really great way to wake you up and get you ready for the day hey Google can you get me my flash news briefing so then I will go put on my Google home to get me the news whilst I open the windows to finally let some daylight in by the way if you're wondering today I am wearing this jumper from Bowden and these trousers from Miss patina with a thermal vest underneath then I will go do my hair and get ready and I'm really sorry for this angle I thought you could see more of my face when you actually can I will just put some bobby pins into my head to keep my fringe tone growing out off my face and I also like to put on some face cream this is the second face product I use I will usually put on some concealer as well then I will head to the kitchen to get some breakfast and the first thing I like to do is just rinse out my water bottles or filling it up for my lectures and seminars this is such an important thing to bring to classes I think staying hydrated when you're learning is so important and I find I concentrate so much better when I have got a water bottle with me so this morning for breakfast I decided to have a yogurt Bowl so I am using this out Pro coconut yogurt with some frozen mango some fruits and berries and some bananas and peanut butter I just love yogurt bowls they are so delicious and really refreshing as well so then I would just go put my shoes on put my key on and put my coat on because as I've said it is very cold and actually a wonder I'm not wearing my ski jacket today because I usually won't waste ski jacket then I will just consult this list that I have which details all of the things that I should bring Who campus with me depending whatever the week it is so since it's Friday I did packed my laptop and attach that we had to read that week and then I just packed my bag and head to campus so after my 8:30 seminar that finishes at 10:30 this particular day I did go to the gym before heading back home and this is just because I had a social this evening so I was going to miss trampolining and I still wanted to get some exercise so I went to the gym to the 11:30 and then I had it back to my room and did some studying so thank you so much for watching today's video I hope that you enjoyed it and I hope that you have a productive you

hey guys and welcome to my very busy Saturday at uni I had quite a bit of work to do well I plan to get a lot of stuff done today so I did work quite intensely today even though it was a Saturday and even though it's technically the weekend but as I have told you guys before I don't really have a weekend when I'm at university because every day is pretty much the same I always have work to do but anyway this morning I had been up for a while and I was out of my room by 7:30 as you just saw College was pretty quiet at that time in the morning I went straight to the print room actually after I'd done my morning usuals as you saw in my morning routine which I put up on my channel very recently but I decided to go and print out some lecture notes that I was going to be needing for today as well as an essay which I had brought back for my supervisor with some Corrections on I then headed to the library because I had to return a library book but I'm now just gonna let you laugh at me because I am very bad in libraries I never normally use them and so I have no clue how to return books and stuff like that so this is me staring at the screen because I have no clue what I am doing so I was supposed to be returning a book but I think I was doing this stuff that you you're you normally do when you take a book out so I was scanning my card and it was just making all these really weird noises and it just kept buzzing at me and bleeping I was very confused so instead of returning the book I checked out again which I didn't intend to do so I realized that that was the wrong thing when returning a book and as you can see it says returns on that cupboard and it took me a while to work that out revelation oh I see okay maybe I'll just put it in my own home there it gets returned properly that's how you return the library book you don't need to scan it I learnt that today yep so that is my college library and it just goes to show how many times I actually get library books out as a science student and yes I gave up trying to look all cool just as if a camera was magically filming me I did have to go and put that down there so let's be real guys so I then came back to my room and I decided that I wanted to sort out my folders a bit do some hole punching staple some stuff together because I had been given a few essays back and I feel that by organizing my folders first thing in the morning it just sets the day off nicely and then as usual I did my to-do list I wrote down exactly what I wanted to get done today in a specific order so that included the work that I was going to do the lectures I had to go to and the fact I needed to go to Sainsbury's at some point so I wrote that down so that I had a very strict schedule for today and then I basically sat down and started off reading the lecture notes I just printed out so we were starting a new lecture series today and as you shall see we had a two hour lecture today two hours straight because they've been rescheduled basically they were quite a dense set of lecture notes so I decided to read about half of them and then I switched to doing something else for a bit so I was reading through an essay and as you can see my mouth is moving like crazy together reading it to myself I had basically done the majority of this essay the day before and I just needed to finish it and read it make sure that it was ready to be sent to my supervisor to mark it so I was just adding some figures some diagrams and then that was ready to be sent off I then had my breakfast and stuff and as you guys know from my morning routine I always start my day off with hot lemon and as you will realize from the title of this video I study without any caffeine and what I mean by that is basically I don't drink tea or coffee so what I'm showing you now of some of these Twinings and poker and as the infusions which are kind of a type of tea but they don't contain any caffeine and the reason why I wanted to talk about this today was because I was very kindly sent some of these organic mature teas from a company called the matcha reserve so I didn't try those during the day but I'm gonna talk to you a bit about those later and I decided that I might try them in the evening so I got back to work once I was eating my breakfast I checked off the fact that I'd gone to the print room and read through my essay and read through some of the lecture notes I drank my hot lemon which I honestly love I then got back to reading through the second half of those lecture notes which I started this morning and I feel that by doing that I feel a bit more prepared on him in the lecture because I can follow along a bit better but sometimes I don't always have time to do this so change of scenery we are now in our first lecture of the day so this was for sale and development ecology and the lecture notes I was just reading were for neuro so I didn't read these lecture notes in advance because they're just purely diagrams there are a few key points but we are basically told to make her own notes which is fine I also tried to do this quiz that our lecturer had told us to do at the start but the Wi-Fi was not loading so I didn't get to do that and by the time I had turn my mobile data on the lecture basically started so this lecture series is about development because the title of the module is called cell and about mental biology so there is quite a big section on development and we've done some of this in first year but obviously it gets a bit more detailed and the concepts are a bit harder to understand but I just made my own notes do my own little diagrams to try and follow along using the lecture slides and what that actual is saying I then had an hour break between that lecture and the neuro lectures so I always in this break go to the library which is closest and I will get on with a bit of whack so there weren't that many people there but I was talking to Juliette just before she went to her psychology lecture and surprise surprise Holly whips out her banana and in line with the topic that I wanted to talk about today in this video I don't rely on stimulants so caffeine which is in tea and coffee I always feel totally energized from the food so I'm eating just to tell you what I was doing in this hour break I managed to read through the second of the essays that I'd written and I made some Corrections changed a few bits here and there and basically got that done within an hour which I plan to do I then set off at about 5:00 – as you can see there we go I set up to my lecture and here's the library this is how empty it is on the weekend because obviously most students don't have lectures on the weekends on a Saturday anyway and then I went to the lecture theatre for the two hours all neuro lectures back-to-back so here we go as you can see is he had her food at the ready and I got my water bottle out and basically spread my staff across this whole desk which was quite good although someone gave actually come and sit next to me at one point but then they left and I never saw them again so I had the best of myself but going back to the topic of caffeine I feel that as a student it's a game quite atypical you guys know I don't drink alcohol as well and it's kind of for the same reason really I don't really like the taste of tea or coffee so I don't drink it and also I don't really want to rely on a stimulant I mean people you get kind of addicted to it and feel that they need to drink tea and coffee continuously throughout the day so that they can get through work but I personally if you're drinking a lot of tea and a lot of coffee and you're really heavily reliant on it then I don't really think that's a good thing and likewise with alkaloid don't have a problem with those people who choose to drink it because they like it it's your personal choice but if you're totally reliant on it to get you through a day then I think you should maybe question it good Wow the lecturer gave us about a 10 minute break and so he was very happy about that as you can clearly see so we basically had 10 minutes to like eat some stuff even though I'd eaten my Apple during the lecture which the lecturer really doesn't mind about you doing I had my orange as well and he came to the rescue with a tissue and then we started a game with the second hour my hand at this point was starting to ache a bit but we power through and we got those two hours and lectures done and dusted and it felt super super good when you could walk out the lecture theater and breathe in some fresh air I mean that was the best feeling I think we all were quite relieved after that and then I decided that I was just gonna quickly head out to Sainsbury's and grab some food obviously bananas were on my shopping list and I just need to get some other stuff and when I got back I had my lunch as you can see if you guys would be interested in seeing a why eat in a day video and especially why eat during days like this when I'm studying quite intensely then please give this video a thumbs up if you'd be interested in that because I would definitely be up for doing that I have been staring at this washing for about a good few days now and it's just been staring back at me and I'm just hoping that by staring at this washing it will magically put itself away and get to my wardrobe and my cupboards but clearly that is not the case because it is still standing there five days later so what I'm gonna do I've just been reading that essay and I've read over it once and it's still way too long so I'm gonna have to read through it again and cut it down but I thought that it would be good to take a quick five-minute breather and just put this washing away because yeah it's not gonna put it self away unfortunately stand up stretch the legs a bit give the brain a bit of a rest because that essay is in turn man Oh literally the hardest as I say I've ever written so obviously you knew life doesn't really just involve work you've got to do your shopping do your washing and everything like that so we've got to be real about these things guys huh oh yeah at the shops now yeah for Mother's Day I've been reading through an essay and not really thinking about that but I can try and think now I'm gonna say happy Mother's Day because it is Mother's Day on the day that I'm not loading this video TK Maxx yeah have you been in TK Maxx mom laughs thinking about you who if I saw you in TK Maxx as you can see my sister and I were having some last-minute planning today oh look for mom in there as well yeah not just for yourself luckily and when he was at home and kid sort that out a bit obviously I was not gonna be able to see mom today because it's Mother's Day in the UK and I'm quite far away in Cambridgeshire we're just gonna be ruthless here with an essay that is way too long I just need to press Delete and I really don't like doing that being derived from the lineage as illustrated in figure 3 wears finger 3 wholly needing a figure 3 oh here we go again bye bye Oh so I've just finalized and rounded off tied some loose ends with three essays that I've written over the past few days where's my pen so I can cross these off might do dest I wasn't completely happy with the last one that I'd written because it was just so hard and I was just couldn't I got to the point I couldn't change anymore I feel I said that in the email and that's perfectly okay to do that and say to your supervisor or the person he's working with either you find it quite hard to write and getting that that feedback and going through it will help you so it's perfectly okay Tanna things that are not perfect you've gotta accept that and it's hard but I just just got to do it okay what's next on the agenda so that was the third essay of the day that I had just finished and finalized and sent across to my supervisor and then I moved on to making some notes from this textbook that I'd go out from the library so it seems that I use the library quite a lot in this video but it's just coincidence that the other day I went and got a few books out because I felt that it would help me understand what was going in the lectures a bit more so I got this book out for the development lectures because I felt that I needed a bit more explanation than what was given in the lecture as you saw the notes were just diagrams and I felt that it would just consolidate my understanding and help me actually clear up a few things that I wasn't quite sure about if I could go through the textbook and then just make some notes alongside I sent one of my essays to one of my supervisors so I sent them about maybe like now and a half ago and I've had one buck already this is how honored some supervisors are like that's crazy I mean I've ever had an essay back that quickly here is the textbook that was using it's called development well gee I mean who woulda guessed it's about development and it's biology very crazy title there but then after I'd made some notes I then decided to move on against something else this time I was planning and I said that I wanted to write about parasites so this was linked to my pathology module and the book that I've returned to the library in the morning was one I was using to write this other essay about atherosclerosis I think just to let you know if you were interested there we've now jumped ahead a bit because I've got a big bowl of food in front of me and I'm eating my dinner basically I had made my dinner I'd taken a break before I did this so I went and did some stuff in the gym so I hadn't just watched continuously even though it seems like I did in this video I just forgot to film anything when I was in the gym and when I was making my food but I spoke to my family at home and then I was just missing my dinner and getting on with that essay plan I could then basically cross off everything on my list today because I got basically everything done I mean I haven't finished the sa plan I hadn't finished making notes but I'd done quite a lot of it so as I said at the start of this video I have been sent these organic ceremonial mature teas so one of them is a original one and this one has been mango matcha so I decided I was gonna try them just before I went to bed and I don't know whether you should drink tea and coffee and stuff before you go to bed and because I've never tried it and maybe this was the wrong idea and it might not have helped me sleep but oh well I really wanted to try them and I'll know for next time so I basically had watched this YouTube video about how you do this because the company have made a video so you basically add half a teaspoon to a 1 teaspoon I think of the matcha depending on how strong you want it into a bowl or a mug I was using this bowl because I didn't have a mark that was wide enough to fit the whisk thing in you then add some boiling water and you like whisk it around in a W shape I think so I was paying close attention to this video and I wanted to do it right I obviously didn't had very much water as you can Dowe it looks like literally nothing but I added some more water and whisked it around a bit and then I basically tried it as I said I've never tried matcha before in my life I've never really had tea so I mean hey goes wrong alright pretty smooth I haven't made very much because I don't know if I'm gonna like it this is the first time I ever had matcha and the first time I had like caffeine really like I've tried to you coffee I've never actually had a whole mug of it or anything I mean this is not homework anyway a little bit hmm it's a very subtle taste I think it's like a tea green tea taste issue miss it smells like green tea not bad so I just drank my matcha tea and I read somewhere of the textbook that I was reading before but I just wasn't making any notes before I went to bed I will also share with you guys when I tried the mind go on because you guys know I love mangoes and they have it guys that is my study with me at university today for this week which was pretty intense and as you saw I did not rely on numerous cups of tea or coffee to get me through the day I feel totally energized just from foods that I'm eating and I would just like to say thank hello guys and welcome to my exam season morning routine exam season seems to come around so quickly every year but here goes this is my morning routine for my exam season of my final year at the University I set my alarm for 6:00 and yes I push through and get out of bed at 6 a.m. I will run to the toilet and you know do my business and then I will come back and make my bed even though some may say you should era I do like to make it and this is my favorite bedding ever I'll then go through the bathroom and get dressed straightaway so put on my deodorant and mine on a sweatshirt because what else am i wearing and these fancy socks today with cute bananas on I'll turn my lights on and drink a load of water this never changes I usually drink to whore me some jars water it's ok to drink tap water from the UK but sometimes it is a bit cloudy but it does settle so it's all fine I'll then do my teeth so I take my retainers out which I do store in a jam jar I'm just reusing it I'll do my hair but that usually means just taking it out from the bun I slept in I'm putting it back up in a bun and then you know guess what it's 6:30 and I'm gonna start working I am most productive in the morning first thing so I will get scrap pieces of paper and either plan an essay recite something from memory or write an essay today I was just gonna do a plan but it turned out into a whole essay which I wrote on scrap paper I decided that I would write the essay on something that I had been learning I'm revising the previous day I knew what the exam question was because I had seen it before so I just wrote the key words in the centre and was planning on just making a plan as I said but it turned out to be a full essay which I wrote in about an hour at this time I'm usually starting to get a bit hungry so I will just put the essay in the pile of my plans other essays that I have written open my curtains to get some you know natural light in so I can turn my actual room lights off and then just quickly push through the hunger signals and whisk right my to-do list check my diary but it should be pretty empty in exam time and then just get everything out that I want to do after I have eaten my breakfast so I will get my folder that I'm gonna be working on today I sometimes will make a list of the things that I would still like to prioritize and go through first before I do anything else so these are usually the gaps in my revision stuff that I haven't got notes on or stuff that I don't feel very confident about so I would just make a list of that and that helps me to structure my day I quickly go to the kitchen to grab everything that has been drying from the previous evening put it in my cupboard and take the rest of it back to my room and the best part of the morning yes is making my breakfast so you guys know if you have seen a lot of my videos I tend to start my day with a smoothie I add bananas and frozen mango and pineapple spinach then almond milk and flaxseed I'm also using and loving this perform protein powder at the moment which you can get discount off in the description box below it makes me feel good starting my day with a green smoothie it's my favorite it's obviously really dense and got a lot of nutrient rich foods and to start my day and give me lots of energy I usually put about half a scoop of protein powder and I don't add it every day but every few days I would say I pour it into my mason jar and I'll then either use a metal straw but today I was using my bamboo one I'll normally have a piece of fruit on the side as well so today I had an orange for some vitamin C and I do then take some supplements so vitamin b12 vitamin d3 which is a vegan vitamin d3 as well as Casa 10 which has bitumen Sienna that's for my hay fever and just keep my symptoms at bay especially in the summer and exam time I don't really want to have puffy eyes you know it's a pain but there natural remedy actually really helps and I get it from Holland and Barrett when I am drinking my smoothie I will then crack on with some other work if you have seen some of my other morning routines I just kind of want to mention this I usually do yoga in the morning however exam season I kind of have to compromise a bit and I usually do yoga when I'm working out or doing my exercise for the day as I said at the start of the video I like to take advantage of the fact that I feel most productive in the morning and I feel as if my brain is most active so you know I will revise and try and learn as much as possible so that involves example if I'm revising or working or trying to learn something in a set amount of time later on in the morning I will start to use my computer so I don't like to go on at first thing because I just feel that otherwise it gives me a bit of a headache when I am on my computer I will be doing a bit of research I've had to do quite a lot of extra reading this time so if I feel the theraphy gaps in my knowledge I am trying to do some research I also do my emails as well at some point in the morning so this is usually at around 11:00 I will do my emails and then take a break to get a snack and make myself a drink so today I got myself an apple and if you've seen my recent videos I am storing some of my food in these reusable bags so you don't absolute plastic and they are from coconut balls one of my favorite companies ever I then use some lemon that I have stored to make a hot lemon I also added some rice puffs into my coconut bowl with some almond milk to make like cereal kind of Bowl I don't know what you'd call that I also added some shredded coconut for me I take this as a second mini breakfast this is my FX socks and flip-flops I will go to the kitchen and bow the kettle so that I can make myself my hot lemon as I said and take it back to my room so my brain has worked pretty intensely first thing in the morning so in the kind of second half I will just be as I said on my computer and making some notes or writing notes by hand which is what I am doing now and yes of course I am using plain paper I don't use anything other than plain paper when I am making my notes on this day the weather was so bad we got it downpour I managed to finish those no it's quite quickly so that I could take a few things off my to-do list so this was the list of the topics that I wanted to go over obviously the work I am doing every morning will differ but it's usually work in some shape or form I will then go on my phone for the first time late morning so I would just check Instagram and reply to any messages or reply to any texts or Facebook messages you know do all this stuff on socials and I will tend to open my window it was raining but today the weather was so strange it was really sunny at one point and it got quite warm I will then go to the kitchen and do the washing up from the morning which I like to try and get done and not leave it possible especially if I've used the straw and then the last thing that I did this morning is go over some of my sticky notes on my wall which I've been making as you guys might have seen in some of my blogs I hello it's Ruby and welcome to another university vlog so at the moment I am just cleaning so that is basically what the majority of my morning focused on I just wanted to get the whole room clean ready for the week ahead so here I was just cleaning the mini kitchenette in my room I was just doing some washing up and also washing down the countertops because they were a little bit Robbie and so next I decided to write for to-do list and I was using the cream extension momentum I get so many questions about that actually so here I was just cleaning my desk so I decided to take everything off and then I just cleaned and it's impacted the top of the desk and I also disinfected the things that were on my desk so for example I was just cleaning my laptop here so then I decided to actually just take down everything from my pin board and put everything up so it looked a little bit neater because I didn't really like the way that it was nothing and the next I decided to hear from my room because it was in desperate need of a Hoover and I finally managed to find Henry over here so I'm really really really glad to have done that because my room was just looking horrible so the next thing that I did was meal prep so here I was just planning the meals that I wanted to eat for the next two weeks and I was using my hungry student vegan cookbook which was kindly brought for me by a really close family friend Jo and her family so thank you so much if you're watching this and I was also using the app tasty so then here I just decided to organize my kitchen drawer which basically holds all of my kitchenware things and I also decided to sort out my toiletry straw so basically this is where I keep all of my toiletries it's this little plastic drawer underneath my sink in my bathroom and it's just so useful okay so I'm sorry that I haven't actually properly vlog today it's just been a few time lapses I just wanted to say that I just had a chat with Liz and Karl who basically are on the same floor as me and we were chatting for probably about an hour which was really lovely it's really nice to kind of catch up because Liz actually went for concerts yesterday so I didn't see her basically since Thursday actually okay so I'm actually finally going to get on to doing some lecture prep work so the first thing I'm going to do is just finish reading this let's see I printed this so small I can hardly read it but I don't want to go all the way over to the library to print at the Angus it's quite a trap so I'm gonna read this and then I've got some theology prep to do as well so that's the plan so actually finally a mini study with me which I haven't posted for such a long time but study with me as will start to go up quite regularly once I start University properly as in once I start getting work from my lecturers consider it a pre lecture sort of things about forests now so I'm thinking of doing some lecture prep until maybe about 5:30 and then I want to make a peach pie because I've never really made a peach pie before and I bought the ingredients for that so I'm gonna make that I kinda do get an early night I might do some more lecture prep for maybe 42 minutes to an hour and then I want to watch the sound with Annie and then do some reading and then probably go to bed let's get on with reading this and trying to make sure that I absorb everything but at the same time it doesn't feel like I'm being very efficient because I'm taking such a long time reading such a small amount so yeah I'm gonna try and keep an eye on that I need to be efficient in this otherwise it's probably not going to work in the long run oh by the way I've been asked countless times now start doing an outfit of the day every day on these vlogs so I'm gonna stop doing that this top it's in one of my favorite colors with all these colored stripes and I got this a mirror in the Lake District and then I'm just wearing jeans raining jeans I yesterday ones are from Johnny B I really love Johnny B these jeans are just so comfortable they're quite baggy I guess if you look at the shape last but not least I am pretty much obsessed with fat-face socks so I'm wearing this pad so here I was just doing a reading for philosophy evidence in the argument this was on reconstructing arguments and I believe that we're going to be looking at this text in a couple of weeks so I just decided to go through it I also do the activities this is basically pure logic so it's going through how to construct a logical argument and the activity is actually so helpful okay please excuse excuse the mess which has come about from me making this but I have just made a mini peach pie it doesn't look fantastic but it looks tasty and that's the main thing so we've just got some kind of puff pastry crust and then it's oats and peaches and cinnamon and sugar in the middle and a little bit weasel nut milk tears so the next thing I decided to do with some research on the gamer Bible which I knew we would be looking at in our lecture the next day so I just thought I would do some context research and read some articles so that I had a better understanding of what we would be looking at the next day and then here I was looking through some readings which I found to do with origins of Christianity and there was a reading there and so I was just going through and writing little definitions of the words that I didn't know thinking about getting into bed watching someone with an E and reading my bag is a little packed to me first leave University one thing I'm not bringing is my laptop okay so this has been such a lovely relaxing Sunday I've really enjoyed it I finished my PI which was amazing the one thing I do want to do is just quickly do some meal prep so I've got a recipe for pasta that I'm gonna make quickly and then I'll eat that now and then I'll save it for a to this week as well

okay reality check people whilst university may have somewhat forced me to be a morning person getting out to bed is something that I still find quite difficult and I'm not one to spring out of my bed at the sound of the alarm but at 6:30 a.m. I do surf this slowly out of bed and here's how I try and be productive every morning before my lectures start so the first thing I do after I've woken up is I turn on my light and I immediately make my bed because it doesn't take two seconds I wear cotton gloves to prevent my hands getting too dry and often that takes the longest thing finding those because I've thrown them off during the night and after that I go straight into the bathroom I've put on my dressing-gown because at the moment has been super cold so I normally wake up not feeling that warm without fail every morning I will try and drink at least one liter of water so hydrating my body first thing is really important to me but often people find that quite difficult and ask me how I drink so much water in the morning and if you're struggling then maybe try and add some lemon or some fruit like strawberries or some cucumber to give it some flavor that might help you but I always drink water in the morning and then I will normally just redo my hair really quickly because it looks super messy once I've woken up I will then remove my retainers which I've slept in I am a very good orthodontist patient because I will always wear my retainers at night and I have done that ever since I got my braces off which was quite a few years ago now on the topic of teeth I will then brush my teeth first thing in the morning and this might sound really strange but I do then do some of my hamstring strengthening exercises whilst I'm doing my teeth it helps to test my balance as well and I quite like doing it sometimes I might read some lecture notes it depends how I'm feeling okay one of my favourite things to do in the morning definitely not is choosing what to wear I'm not gonna lie I am NOT the most adventurous with clothing and if I've just got lectures I'm just gonna throw on some gym wear some active web because I'll probably have dance that day or I'll probably do some exercise and it's just the easiest and comfiest thing so I will grab my cloves go to my bathroom and get dressed as you can see look black leggings standard Holly the deodorant that I've been using for such a long time and I'm talking on the scale of years is this very natural vegan salt block which I got from Holland and Barrett I will link it down below and I've also been putting on this cocoa butter lip balm at the moment which I don't know if it's vegan but I really do like it and I hope it is but I'm just using up anyways something I also try and do every morning is roll out my muscles and do some yoga so the first time I will go on my computer is to turn on my Spotify playlist and at the moment I've just been using this yoga and meditation one which I really enjoy so as a dancer and as someone who is quite active I find that by rolling up my muscles every day it relieves soreness and it has so many other benefits I love rolling out my muscles it feels super good and it just relieves any tension any tightness especially in my back so it is really enjoyable and really relaxing first thing in the morning I will then get out my yoga mat which I got for Christmas and it's quite new it's a really thick one and it's really really comfy to do yoga on especially on a hard floor so I will roll out my mat and begin on a little bit of yoga for the morning so I have started doing yoga in my second year at University and it has really changed the dynamic of my morning so I used to follow some yoga tutorials online on YouTube but now at the moment I just tend to go with my own flow I've done enough practices that I kind of know how my body works what feels best for me and as a dancer I like to stretch a bit I would definitely recommend doing yoga it helps to clear your mind relieve stress and by focusing on my breathing I can just flush out any negative thoughts and just start my day in a really good way basically when people say that yoga really does change the way you feel you can only experience that once you try it and you make it a habit of yours but again a reality check if I don't have time to do yoga in the morning which is sometimes the case then I will have to maybe just cut it short or just roll out my muscles instead but I will try and do some yoga at least and a bit of stretching I'm also guessing back into practicing some headstands because I started this last year but my hamstring injury meant I couldn't continue that but I'm guessing back into doing my handstands fun fact I often try and get Instagram boomerangs with me doing a headstand but they always completely fail that's anyway moving on swiftly I will then use my spiky ball I don't know what else to call it but I use this to roll out the deep muscles in my hamstring because if you've been following my channel for a while now you will know that I did for my hamstring whilst dancing and this is also another exercise I've been given to do by a physio and finally once I've done my yoga practice and stretching of the day I'll roll up my mat and then I will open the curtains to let some natural light in so I can turn my lights in my room off you're now being carried on my tray which I used to transport food and plates etc between the kitchen and my room I will put the pots and pans and stuff away in my cupboard from the previous day which I've washed up and then take the rest of it back to my room whilst it is a shared kitchen I did go and buy myself my own drainer because I have quite a lot of stuff to wash up and I can just leave it to completely dry overnight when I have done that I will often do a bit of work straight away in the morning so I don't usually wake up super super hungry I tend to just drink water and then I'll be fine for about an hour 45 minutes so today I was just going through some lecture notes and taking some notes as I usually do I thought that I would start in the morning and then finish it in my hour break between lectures so I know you guys are really wanting me to do a video about how I make my notes and stuff like that I keep saying this but I will be doing a video about that very soon it is on my list of videos to put out for you guys on my channel so this year in my second year I don't have any 9:00 a.m. lectures and so that just means that I like to make sure that I am as productive as possible first thing in the morning so that I can at least say I've done something before I go to my lectures so at 8:30 I'm starting to really get hungry now I will ban make myself breakfast so usually I will start my day with some fruit a smoothie or some nice cream and I really find that that works best for my body because once you've woken up I don't want something that's too hard to digest they're usually quite simple they normally consist of a lot of bananas as you can see I will also freeze some more bananas just to make sure that I've got a good stash of frozen banana I will often add some more once I've blended it up about I just don't like to overload my blender because I have broken a blade before I will also add spinach that's why it's green obviously and then a mix of seeds so I added in some hemp seeds pumpkin seeds flax seeds and sunflower seeds today I think and then this greens powder which I've just shown you it is a raw cacao flavored powder another thing that is really important for me in the morning is drinking some hot lemon I will simply boil some water squeezing some lemon into a mug and that's it I also take my supplements so b12 and vitamin D I usually take these once every other day or every two days my general rule though is if I can't remember taking one in the past few days I will just take one to be sure now this mason jar looks incredibly dirty and I think it's just because the hard water here makes my mason jars look incredibly dirty I do wish up there guys trust me on that one I also use a metal straw to drink my smoothies and I will leave a link to where I get those from as well as the supplements down in the description box below whilst I'm eating my breakfast I will tend to do some emails and fill out my diary I will also make my to-do list in the morning and if you've watched a lot of my study with me videos or even just one you'll know that making my to do this fast in the morning is something I will do every day I cannot feel productive without my to-do list it means I can structure my day and I know how to prioritize my work and manage my time most effectively so without fail I will make it to do this every morning if you've noticed whilst I have been on my computer doing some emails I haven't yet being on my phone except to turn the alarm off so at this point I will just check Facebook which is always really active during university term time I will also go on Instagram normally and just replied some comments and take some food around because these are the ones that do not fail unlike those of me trying to do a headstand so at this point it is now 9:00 a.m. and today I was planning out the work that I was going to do that day so I was making little checklists it would also probably spill over for the rest of the week so I just wanted to do that thoroughly so it was kind of a continuation of my to-do list but it was focused on my work today I had a lecture at 10 o'clock so by 9:30 I thought that I couldn't really start anything or get that much done because I would have to leave it 10 – pushing it maybe 5 – so I decided that I would do a quick and very quick plan of an essay I often find that doing these really intense essay plans is something useful it gets my brain active ready to be listening in the lectures then by 9:45 I will pack my bag so I will put in the folders that I need for the lectures that I'm gonna be having I will also put in my macbook because I will tend to work on that during my hour break I'll also put in my water and some snacks it was incredibly cold today it was actually snowing we're in this big freeze in the UK at the moment so I put on my scarf and my massive ski jacket I have never been skiing but I had to wear this when I went Aaron if you followed me back then I went on a field trip in first year and I got this lovely bright red jacket I will also put on two pairs of gloves because that is how I roll I think we just need to appreciate how well my pink gloves match my red jacket and also how well my bright pink helmet matches my red jacket I mean that is a step too far holy we actually go out like this can you believe it so I will head out to my lecture at about 5 – or 10 – 10 because my lecture will start at five past the hour so as you can see I'm not lying it was snowing this is not that much snow compared to some countries and in some places of the UK but we didn't have a fair bit of snow this year so it was really cold it was below zero degrees so I could actually say that was freezing today and I don't normally do this but I decided to adventure off in the snow just for a bit before my lecture but I mean it did make the college look really very pretty I also picked up the snow which is a bad idea because I got really cold hands but I just wanted to touch it you know the inner child coming through there so I then go to the bike shed find my bike and obviously unlock it and set off to my lectures because I do normally cycle even on the days when it's icy and snowy that was a great idea Holly but I thought that would be better than slipping over when walking and that is it guys that is my morning routine for you so this is a very realistic morning routine for me I will tend to do this most mornings if I haven't went to bed too late because I've had a dance rehearsal over this hour hello it's Ruby and today I'm going to be showing you how I prepare for an effective and productive study session so I won't do all of these things every single time I sit down to study because sometimes you only have 1020 minutes and you don't really have time to go through this process but these are things that I try to make sure I've done if I'm doing a much longer study session and hopefully this will give you some ideas on how to make sure that your study sessions can be as productive as possible and I also need to point out that this video is very kindly sponsored by with a different website provider originally and now I'm transferring my website over to Squarespace without further ado I'm going to show you the ways that I like to prepare for my study sessions so the first thing I like to do is just tidy up my study space and my room if it as messy as well I find it really difficult to work when I'm in a Cottard or dirty environment and so I just feel like this is a really good thing to do at the beginning the next thing I would do is actually plan my study session and I like to use my pumpkin productivity study planner which is actually available on my website so I write it to do list and then I will fill in a time table so that I can make sure that I don't procrastinate and that my time is efficiently and productively used next I like to put on these little electric candles so we're not allowed candles in university rooms and so I definitely do miss my candles back at home but these little LED taillights do do the job so the next thing I would do is spray some room spray I like this water one in the white company I always got myself some water because you can easily get dehydrated when you're studying and I will also open up my window to lessons and fresh air I like to choose a healthy snack that I can fall back on if I do get hungry and I will also make myself some tea because I love tea and my go-to is al gray I love the one from blue birds now maybe I'm biased because I'm a study keeper but another thing which I can recommend is watching something to get you motivated so I like to watch study with me here I'm watching on Jade Jade I will leave some other study Shiva's link down below which I do find motivating to watch and also keep in mind that I've got I think it's 47 study with Muse on my channel if you are ever in need of one and I keep these all in a playlist on my website as well under Section which is all about planning a successful study session and it kind of goes through a stage by stage process on how to have a good study session so then I can not point out enough you should never go on social media right before you start a study session because it will completely throw your mind off balance I like to turn my phone on airplane mode so that I don't get distracted by notifications and I will also set both a timer and a stopwatch so that I can track how line spending studying you might also want to use for us sometimes I do use this too sometimes I also play some music I really like this side a house rules soundtrack for studying – one thing I like to do in preparation with study sessions is lay out all of the materials that I might need kind of an order of the tasks I'm meaning to do this means that you don't have to get distracted help but during the session trying to find something another which you need to help you study and it basically just helps to retain my focus so hopefully would help to retain yours to you so that's the last part of my preparing for studying routine and I hope that to start the day off I start off by writing some revision cards on the topic of employment and unemployment and I did this for about a half an hour before I moved on to reading through the textbook and also making some revision cards using that now revision cards are really time-consuming but I feel like that's the best way for me personally to learn and retain information it just really like gets into my head when I ask myself the question after that I made a mind map on the basic economic problem and to make the notes I use a website called physics on mass cheater yeah and it's a really good website to get like loads of revision summaries from I literally use it all the time it's really good and it basically sums up all the topics but you you're studying that makes sense and I basically did this for around an hour a brutal yet me like an hour it is because the notes are in quite a lot of detail today and yeah so once I finished the mind map I then I went on to writing some more revision cards I was still on the topic of unemployment because it's such a big topic and yeah I usually write the question questions on one side and then the answers on the back right now I was just writing down all the answers to the questions and then I was gonna write the questions on after right now it was just getting like all the facts down all the notes down and yeah yeah and I also did this for around an hour – I feel like revision cars takes so long but at the end of the day they're really useful after that I went on to reading through a PowerPoint that I had got given in class and they're actually really useful like my teacher prints them out for us and then he hands them out and read I'll try to take them home and annotate them at home and stuff so I was just highlighting through all the powerpoints and yeah it was actually really useful PowerPoint once I'd finished that you wouldn't believe it I did some more in fishing cards just because I still hadn't finished like their vision cards for the whole topic and I could really just wanted to to finish all the cards for the whole topic say that I could move on to another topic but yeah as I said written cards take a really long time to do it's really time consuming but yeah and then about halfway I moved on to a new topic because I had actually finished unemployment finally after hours and hours of write individual cards for that topic and I moved on to the circular flow of income and that's a really lengthy topic as well so I was doing these aversion cards for quite a long time so after I finished all my revision cards I then went on to do another my map and this was on a different topic that it was on the market economy and yet I used physics and math tutor the website again just to get the notes from and write basically that she copied free website word-for-word but they're really good notes and if I there I'm gonna take advantage of them and use them to myself and yeah it's a free website like all the resources free and I really recommend going on it like gets me for my mocks I use this website so much like you don't understand how much I use it and it literally helped so much so I definitely recommend going onto that site and then I went on to doing a pass paper I feel like I can only do pass papers after I've like done revision cards written out some notes and stuff so yeah I did a passed paper to finish the day and actually did quite well I'm not gonna lie but yeah I think that's because I did like all the revision before and then I went on to do part of it but if I did past my first then I wouldn't have done as well

hey guys and welcome to my university evening routine this is my winter edition and if you haven't already checked out the morning routine that pairs with this one then I highly recommend that anyway my evenings are quite variable and I'm just gonna start at around 4:30 because this year in my final year of my degree in vocal Natural Sciences I actually have lectures in evenings so at 5 p.m. therefore I was like I think 4:30 is quite a good time to start this routine video I would just put everything away that I've been working on previously in the afternoon and I'll get the stuff that I need to take with me to my lectures in the UK around this time of year it gets dark super quickly so I'll just close all my curtains before I leave grab my rucksack and everything in it that I need if I'm going to a lecture all I tend to take with me is my file with some plain paper in my pencil case and I'll have my glasses and water and other bits and bobs in my bag before I leave I'll just check my diary to make sure that I've got the right time and I'm on schedule and then I might just check my to-do list to see if I can tick anything else off I'll grab my phone before I rush out the door in the winter because I cycle to most places I tend to wrap-up fall so I will shut all my scarf and I will put on my jacket which actually doesn't have a hood which is not great when it's raining so today it was actually raining unfortunately so that meant I was gonna get pretty wet I will also wear gloves but these looked incredibly dirty I'm really sorry they look awful they're supposed to be white but they look great and these boots as well look very worn as well but I just live in those in my room I obviously won't go to lectures on those so I'll just shove all my fans I'm one to never really unusual a sis I don't know if you're the same and then the note on my door which says key is actually the best reminder ever because I look myself out all the time as many of you guys know and that is just me complaining about the weather because it's raining anyway once I've got to the department and I'm probably a drowned rat I would just walk to the lecture room as we walk in there are usually some notes to pick up from the front so I will grab those and just find somewhere to sit in the lecture hall usually I will sit quite near the front just because I do wear glasses so it does help in terms of being able to see what's on the slides and I also think you can hear a lot better at the front if the lecture is quite quiet so I don't think it's a bad thing if you choose to sit on the front but obviously find a seat that works best for you I'll get out all my stuff that I need so my pencil case I'll have some water before I start and put on my glasses I don't think many people realize that I wear glasses because I don't wear them that often I usually wear them in lectures but sometimes I might not even feel what I need them because my eyesight is ok it's not the best but I have had to get glasses in my first year actually at university I had an eye test and realized that I am slightly short-sighted and one eye especially regarding the actual lecture if any of you guys are interested so this was for immunology it's one of my modules for this year one of my major modules within pathology we were being given a lot of information about sites kinds and information during implementer irresponsive the different types of immune responses so it was really interesting when I got back and it was again very wet around 6:15 usually our lectures are 50 minutes roughly I will firstly do some filing and sort out all my work so I really like to stay on top of this I like to stay organized and know where all my work is so I will spend some time just putting things away hole punching everything and making sure it's in the right folders at this point in the day my head will usually be hurting as well because I've had my hair in a ponytail for quite a long time so I'll usually just take it out put it in a very classic holey top not a messy bun so that I can just get on with a bit more work but at this point I will usually have snack as well today I had a track bar and this is me showing you the packaging upside down and then realizing that the packaging is upside down anyway moving on so whilst I'm having a snack and then after I've had a snack I will tend to work on the lecture notes from the lecture that we've just had so this isn't always possible and I don't always do this but today I had some time after my lecture which was a perfect amount of time for me to go back through the slides and fill in any gaps and fill in anything I'd missed so I'll just go through and add in the diagrams that were too complicated to copy down or some additional text that was written on the slide and if I manage to do this I find it so useful because I can just consolidate what I've previously learnt about and then finish off the notes so they don't have to go back to them at another point but as I said I don't always have the time to do this because often I'm really busy doing something else but today I had time to do it which was great I'll do this usually for about 45 minutes to an hour if I have time and then I will usually then get ready to go to dance because I tend to have dance in the evenings it's never usually in the afternoon or in the mornings so I would just get changed I'll put on my leotard and tights and shove all my trackies which are very classic when I'm going to dance it's just so easy to put on and then these lovely socks which look super sexy may I just say and you can just enjoy me struggling to put on my socks and pull them up really high so that I don't have any that ankle showing to avoid getting really cold my evenings as you can see they're full of quick changes especially when I have danced because I take my hair out and then the next minute I'm redoing it so I'm putting it back in a ponytail platting it for dance sometimes I will just turn up in a messy bun but today we made an effort to make our hair look okay send me okay before we actually start dancing and get really sweaty I will find my really old and pretty worn trainers that are quite dirty and then I'll pack my bag so I'll just shove in all the shoes that I need we also just need a few moments to appreciate how great this home is it is in kind of new helmet and I just find it hilarious every time I put it on so I'm just gonna show you some clips of the solo that I did and this was during our rehearsal for the Winter Ball however the dance that I have in the evenings will either be a group rehearsal for a competition team dance and that can be ballet tap jazz or contemporary so it's quite variable and I just had a clip of bits of my solo which I thought I would show you this was the server that I actually did at a Mable last year however I had to read choreograph quite a few bits because I couldn't remember what I did and I wasn't really happy with it so yeah this is just me doing my solo in the rehearsal in the space that we were actually going to do the bull dance is usually quite late as you can see from the time so I get back quite late around 9:00 or 9:30 so it means I do need to then get on really quickly so I'll put my bike away find a space hopefully which can be quite difficult sometimes if the bike shed is really busy I'll go back to my room and by this point thank goodness it's not raining and I'm super sweaty once I have put everything away I will then roll out my muscles and stretch out if I need to sometimes dance starts a lot earlier and I will have a few more hours of dance in the evening however today it wasn't that long so it's just quite difficult to show you a very typical evening routine because they don't really have something that's very standard it changes on a date basis however today I got back quite late but I still wanted to stretch out so I'll use my small spiky ball which you just saw and that's really great at getting deep into the tissue muscle and then I'll also use my huge muscle roller to roll out my quads my calves and my back anything essentially that I feel is quite tight and needs rolling out I do recommend using muscle rollers if you are someone who's really active or do a lot of sport or dance this also helps me to cool down so I'll quickly just take my hair out again before I go on to make my food so yes that's me waving to you guys through the kitchen door I will bring all the stuff in that I need and I'll get on quite quickly especially as it's quite late so if I haven't made food or prepped anything then I'll have to make something from scratch and I'll usually do something that's fairly quick because this is a communal kitchen I always wipe the tops before I start making food today I made chips it's something that you will probably seen me make before but it's not you can get it really easily it's very simple and it's one of my favorite meals it's also quite difficult for me to cut the chips as you can see from my face struggling but yes I was just cutting up a sweet potato and a white potato I put them on a microwavable plate and then you spread them out you can add some herbs and spices but today as it was late I skipped that step you put them in the microwave for about 10 minutes on a high power and then you just do them again for another five minutes usually on the side I always have veg and I like to have quite a big load of veg with a lot of greens so Cara pass snap courgette some green beans and I also had some kale so I will shove it all into a pan whilst everything is making so the bed just just coming from the boil when the chips are still in the microwave I will do the washing up that's my flat from throughout the day and as you can see in front of me I've got my old phone propped up just in case it gets wet or anything in the kitchen and I'm facetiming home and Bali and Java often feature on FaceTime wait mum can you put it on Jabba's face I can't see her face she doesn't her tails Waggin though she does like doing games at the camera now put the camera down a bit low my bed is boiling my mother on the side I was also doing a beetroot burger which you can get from Audi they're vegan and they're so good I love these things I keep it frozen in the freezer and that means that I don't have to use them straight away and then you can just microwave out I don't even defrost it's honestly great I do it for about two minutes so burger and chips was my meal for today and I also added a loads of other things on the side so I got out some tumeric tahini pickled gherkins and pickles which I honestly love I'm such a pickle fan and I should have said Bali and Java are two Labrador puppies at home I love speaking to mum and anyone else at home and I will also see milk remember Leo's our cats but this that you are seeing right now was my plate full of food and yeah around 10 o'clock I know it's late I will be eating but this is the reality if I do have dance because rehearsals are just quite late when I'm eating I might read something but I do like to be quite quick or I might watch something it just depends on what I feel like and how busy I am this is also the texture of the burger it's so great I highly recommend them that from Aldi and then this is just a random I don't know why with me being really stupid taking pictures and sending them to Mum we were just having a walrus you could send the strangers face anyway in the shower I used this facial rim brush original soil shower gel faith in nature shampooing conditioner at the moment and this wide toothed hair comb because I do have a new hair care routine I'm actually trying to really look after my hair so if you would like a full haircare routine then please like this video because as you can see I'm not actually using a towel to dry my hair I will also put on some moisturizer I don't do this every day but if my skin feels dry in the cold months then I will put some moisturizer on I'll have a mug shot of peas which is weird if you haven't watched my videos before buy do it quite often and many of you guys will know that I will make it to do list for the next day and then have some soy milk or any other plant-based milk before I do my teeth and go to bed at this point because I've had dance rehearsals really late and I've had to make food that will usually be around 11 o'clock so if I go to bed at 11 I like to get any hours sleep so I'll set my alarms for seven o'clock the next day I try and aim for 8 hours sleep and the time I get up in the morning will be determined by the time I go to bed the previous night I hope you've enjoyed this video guys please like if you did comment down below and
